Soul Federation is an award-winning 10 piece band playing Soul, Northern Soul and Blues Brothers hits. With appearances at the legendary Cavern Club to close the Liverpool 2024 Mod Weekender the band know how to have a good time. Appearances at Dubbed Out Festival 2024 and Roughley’s Bike show 2024 demonstrate their appeal to audiences of all ages and styles.
If you like Stevie Wonder, Frank Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Kool and the Gang, Candi Staton, and Blues Brothers etc this is the band for you.
These experienced musicians started setting dance floors alight across the North West and beyond in 2017. With a full horn section and harmony vocals Soul Federation create that classic soul sound for a great night out. Regularly re-booked.

The band has its own sound engineer, PAT tested equipment and full Public Liability Insurance. Based in Manchester and Liverpool, Soul Federation is made up of experienced pro/semi-pro musicians, several of whom have worked internationally.

The Band
The Singists
Soul Federation are fronted by three awesome vocalists.
Steve - is an award winning vocalist in his own right. Having been entertaining the public since he was 13. Starting out as a DJ and Radio presenter he turned to fronting a band some 10 years ago and turned professional four years ago and has never looked back combining his solo gigs with his real passion of singing with a live band.
Lisa(L) -Lisa is the newest member of the band. She has worked internationally and in the UK fronting tribute, covers and original bands. TV work with Les Denis, Billy Butler and a tour with Wiggy from Hitman and Her fame are just part of Lisa’s impressive CV that includes releasing a solo dance music album under the name of X-Static and performing in Radio Roadshows.
Dani(R) - has spent the last six years singing in Spain and prior to that worked at holiday parks in the UK. After a short sabatical to have a baby Danielle missed singing so much she is now back doing what she loves best PERFORMING!

The Hornstars
Soul Federation features a fantastic 3 piece Horn Section.
Richard/Trombone - Having failed "O level" music four times, Richard stuck with trombone. Previously played in jazz, blues, rock and brass bands with appearances in various recordings, concerts, radio and TV in England and internationally.
Dave/Sax - Dave is another band member who dabbled in other genres of music before realising Soul was his passion. Previously playing in Ska bands, he has been with Soul Federation a few years now and has loved every minute. Loves playing in a well organised brass section and Soul Federation ticks all those boxes.
Kevin/Trumpet - Kevin received his training courtesy of the Regimental Band of HM Coldstream Guards. You've probably seen him on TV a number of times "Trooping the Colour". He's travelled the world working on Cruises and toured the UK in theatre tours.
Freelance studio work.

The beating heart of Soul Federation are the boys at the back.
Chris/Keys - Trained as a classical pianist, Chris got his love for performing after a small tour of Bavaria playing piano solos at the age of 9. He has been in a variety of bands ever since including originals, covers, Pop, Blues, Jazz & Soul and regularly accompanies singers and instrumentalists of all styles. By day, he also teaches music!
Paul/Guitar - is another founder member of Soul Federation, Paul has over the years played guitar, banjo and mandolin in a variety of bands in and around the North West music scene, from 50's Rock and Roll through Ceilidh, Bluegrass and Indie to the classic sound of 60s Soul music.
Dave/Drums - Dave has played all over the world during his career. everything from cruises to residencies in places like Madeira. He is also vocalist Steve's dad.
John/Bass - He has recorded and toured with bands covering many genres from signed Swedish alternative band, Sam Kills Two, punk legend Leslie Woods (Au Pairs) to sixties legend Arthur Brown and Instant Flight. He also plays guitar and has a background in music production.
